If you are not familiar with the sacred blend, we recommend you to thoroughly read through the explanations in the FAQ section.
What is Râpé?
Râpé is a natural medicine and should be treated and used as such. Its main component is Mapacho. It is mixed with different herbs, seeds, bark, flowers, leaves, roots and their ashes, resulting in a variety of blends with different characteristics and benefits. There are about 275 tribes in Brazil alone. Each tribe has its own recipe, the composition of which is kept in the strictest confidence.
The tribes of the Amazon use the sacred mixture in all areas of life: in initiation rites, healing ceremonies, before hunting, at tribal festivals. It is also used to relieve tension, stress, and calm the mind. After use, thoughts slow down, calmness and relaxation appear. In this regard, attention improves, clarity appears. It is these effects of the sacred composition that make traditional shamanic healing practice a sought-after product all over the world.
This natural product is offered for its historical and ethnographic value and is supplied without any expressed or presumed fitness for a particular purpose. It is simply a raw botanical specimen or a scientific sample. The information provided is intended for historical, scientific and educational purposes only and should not be construed as a recommendation for a specific application. The use and application of our product is in the decision, responsibility and risk of the customer.
The sacred mixture does not contain any narcotic or other prohibited substances. All the recipes for the mixtures that are presented in our store are completely legal and are not prohibited for circulation in the European Union.
To blow the sacred mixture, you will need special tubes - Tepis and Kuripes .
Kuripe is a V-shaped tube designed for individual use and self-blowing of mixtures.
Tepi is a long tube that is used to blow into another person.
Traditionally, shamans make Tepi and Kuripe tubes from wood. We honor traditions, so we offer bamboo tubes, as well as tubes from other tropical essences. In addition, through our own experience, we discovered that Silver was an excellent conductor for the energies of RÂPÉ and as a matter of fact has been used in spiritual ceremonies across the world for millennials. Our store offers Tepi and Kuripe that we bring from Amazonian tribes, as well as from talented hand crafters from Indonesia and Scandinavia.
If you want to have uniquely designed tubes created especially for you, we can also make them to order. If you are interested, please contact via email or Instagram.
To ensure that the tubes serve you for a long time and do not lose their appearance, we recommend paying attention to proper storage. Keep your Tepi and Kuripe in a box or case and do not carry them in a bag or pocket with keys, money or other items.
To clean the tubes, use a cotton swab or a small brush. But do not wet them with water under any circumstances - it can spoil the appearance of your Tepi and Kuripe.
Amazonian and shamanic traditions offer many other wonders and we would like to share some of our favorites with you.
Ceremonial elements
On one hand, you will find on our store a set of tools to make your RÂPÉ ceremonies more ritualistic and therefore potentially deeper. As in all ceremonies, the setting is highly important when blowing RÂPÉ and can enable the sacred blend to work at its best with you. With this understanding in mind, we have decided to offer you the following items:
Ceremonial carpets
These hand crafted pieces of fabric are widely used by Amazonian tribes and we source them directly there. Placed in front of you, you can dispose on them your RÂPÉ bottle and your tepi or kuripe before starting the ceremony. Their shamanic motives will help you tune into the ritual and prepare yourself for receiving the best of the sacred blends’ benefits. Also, if you happen to connect with the motives, they might accompany you through your experience and help you in their own way.
Palo Santo
The use of Palo Santo is highly recommended to clean spaces, tools and people of unwanted energies prior to a Rapé ceremony. The resin of high quality Palo Santo tree contains a huge number of useful elements. It has antimicrobial, immuno-stimulating and antiseptic properties.
In addition to the preparation of Rapé ceremonies, Palo Santo can be lighted on the following motives:
- Before any event, lesson, lecture, practice or just receiving friends and guests
- When feeling depressed, nervous or anxious
- When suffering from headaches
- When you arrive to a new place, hotel or apartment
Agua de Florida
Agua de Florida is a shamanic cologne used in Peru during ceremonies and rituals to protect energy, cleanse and heal.
It has an aromatic composition of flowers, herbs and spices: neroli, cloves, orange, bergamot, lemon, lavender, cinnamon and rose. Its mystical and pleasant aroma has a positive effect on achieving deep relaxation or meditation, and will help you greatly to enjoy the calming effects of Rapé when sprayed shortly after the blows of the sacred blend.
Huayruro seeds bracelets
The vibrant Huayruro seeds are known and celebrated by the people of Peru for bringing good fortune and warding off negative energy. Deep red with contrasting black or white marks, these seeds are indeed more than just nature’s jewels. It is very common for shamans to wear them as jewelry during sacred rituals. Those singular seeds are definitely full of symbolism.
Ayni Râpé
The word Ayni finds its origins in Andean traditions and reflects a principle of ongoing reciprocity (“today for you, tomorrow for me”). It expresses the understanding that everything in the world is interconnected, and that a community, united around shared values and sacred goods, can accomplish far more than any single individual alone.
We, the founders of Ayni, were first introduced to Râpé in 2020. Since then, we have worked closely with this sacred herb and other sacred medicinal herbs, experiencing their role within shamanic plant medicine and personal healing practices. At a later stage, after receiving the blessing of a renowned Maestro Curandero, we began to share these sacred herbs with others, following the principles of respect and reciprocity.
Today, through the Ayni venture, our objective is to make this powerful ancestral medicine accessible to a wider audience in Europe, supporting individual healing and inner development through authentic shamanic supplies and indigenous spiritual goods.
For this purpose, we have carefully selected our products, directly sourced from Amazonian medicinal plants cultivated by indigenous tribes of Peru and Brazil. Each offering is prepared in strict respect of traditional practices, forming a curated shamanic supply that includes different blends with specific ceremonial characteristics, as well as the essential tools for application. These ceremonial shamanic products represent our commitment as a sacred herbs company dedicated to genuine Amazonian shamanic supplies and spiritual goods.
In addition, we offer our expertise as well as initiation ceremonies across Europe upon request. If you have questions or are interested in meeting us, please contact via email or Instagram.

Râpé is an ancient ceremonial practice rooted in ancestral healing traditions and carries a deep sacred meaning. This ritual involves sacred plant medicine and should always be approached with sincere respect and the right inner attitude. Whether you are administering it to yourself or to another person, focus throughout the ceremony on feelings of gratitude, compassion, joy and love. When blowing to someone else, it is especially important to be in the right physical and emotional state, as the act implies a transfer of energy through ceremonial plant medicine and sacred ritual items.
Below we describe each stage of the ceremony, based on traditional approaches to shamanic plant medicine:
- Sit comfortably on the floor, a chair or a couch. Try to keep your back straight to allow the energy of the sacred medicinal plants to flow harmoniously through the body’s main channels.
- Pour the powder into the palm of your non-dominant hand. If you are unfamiliar with the appropriate dose, begin with a standard amount - roughly the size of a pea, as commonly recommended in traditional use of ceremonial medicinal plants.
- Collect the powder directly from your palm into the long end of the kuripe pipe, or into the short end of the tepi pipe if you are serving another person. These tools are part of traditional tribal spiritual supplies used in Amazonian rituals.
- Your attitude determines the outcome of the practice. Râpé is, above all, an ancient shamanic tool derived from Amazonian plant medicine, allowing a person to connect with the spirits of sacred plants and herbs and ask for healing. Close your eyes, calm your breathing and focus your intention. Bring the pipe to the space between your eyebrows and address the spirits of the plants with a personal request, using your own words.
Then bring the pipe to your heart and express respect and gratitude. A sincere “thank you” spoken inwardly is sufficient. Maintain this respectful state throughout the ritual, honoring the nature of ancestral plant medicine.
- Blow the powder. Take a deep breath, insert the long end of the kuripe into your first nostril and the short end into your mouth, then blow the air steadily through the pipe. If serving another person, ask them to inhale deeply and hold their breath while you gently administer the blend using the tepi - one of the essential traditional shamanic supplies for ceremonies.
IMPORTANT: The left nostril should always be the first.
After the blend enters the nostril, breathe through your mouth for about one minute to prevent the powder from reaching the throat. Stretch your arms upward to release tension in the back and neck, allowing the energy of the natural sacred plants to circulate freely. Focus again on inner gratitude.
- Without delay, repeat the entire process with the second (right) nostril, following the same steps - intention, gratitude and application.
The mucous membranes typically absorb the active substances of the sacred healing herbs within 10-15 minutes. After that, you may gently clear your nose. Trust your body and allow it to complete the cleansing process. Remain in a calm environment, preferably in silence or with soft music.
In the first moments after application, a strong burning sensation may occur. This is a natural reaction of the nasal mucosa to Mapacho, one of the medicinal plants used in ceremonies, and usually lasts no longer than 30 seconds. During this time, breathe through the mouth to avoid irritation of the throat.
In some cases, especially for first-time users, the body may respond with nausea or diarrhea. This is considered a cleansing response associated with sacred herbs clense, indicating that the body has initiated a self-healing process. Stay calm, remember that the sensation is temporary, and prepare access to a toilet or container in advance.
In any moment of discomfort, remember that the work of Râpé, as part of authentic Amazonian shamanic products, is intended to support balance of body and mind. Return your focus to gratitude - even repeating the words “thank you” is enough to realign with the intention of the sacred blend.
Its healing properties are widely recognized within ancestral plant medicine and traditional ceremonial practices, as listed below (non-exhaustive), where Râpé is respected as a form of sacred plant medicine for rituals:
- Anti-stress and calming effects, supporting emotional balance
- Alleviates pains, headaches and dizziness
- Supports letting go of addictions, such as cigarettes and alcohol consumption
- Enhances meditation and inner focus during work with ceremonial plant medicine
- Dream-inducing and supportive for subconscious exploration
- Provides a fever-reducing effect in traditional contexts
- Alleviates allergies
- Supports relief from sinusitis, rhinitis and other conditions of the nose and paranasal sinuses, as known in practices using tribal medicinal plants
Energetically, Râpé works with two main channels that begin at the base of the spine, travel upward along the entire body and exit through the nose. These channels are central to the flow of vital energy and are fundamental in many traditions involving sacred plants and herbs. The mind naturally balances through them, which is why numerous breathing techniques are based on activating these pathways.
Within the context of Amazonian plant medicine and ceremonial medicinal plants, Râpé is believed to help release energetic blocks and constrictions within these channels, supporting clarity, grounding and alignment during ritual practice with sacred healing herbs.
Based on our experience with ceremonial shamanic goods and sacred plant medicine, we recommend using Râpé no more than 1-2 times per week. In this rhythm, the sacred mixture works most beneficially, allowing the sacred herb to reveal its potential gently and harmoniously. More frequent use generally reduces the effectiveness of the practice and its energetic impact.
Deviation from this recommendation is possible in several specific situations rooted in traditional work with Amazonian shamanic supplies:
SMOKING / DRINKING
When you are in the process of letting go of toxic habits such as smoking or alcohol consumption, Râpé can serve as a supportive element within ancestral spiritual goods and ritual practice. You may perform the ceremony whenever cravings become overwhelming. The sacred blend helps calm the nervous system and ease addictive impulses.
It is important to understand that the mixture itself will not replace personal responsibility. However, when combined with strong will, conscious intention and commitment to a healthy lifestyle, Râpé - as part of sacred healing herbs and ceremonial medicinal plants - can support the process of outgrowing addictions.
SINUSITIS
If you experience sinusitis, rhinitis or other nasal conditions, traditional practice with Amazonian plant medicine allows for more frequent use. In such cases, Râpé may be applied twice a day - in the morning and in the evening - until noticeable improvement occurs. Afterwards, the frequency should be gradually reduced to once a day, and later to the standard recommendation.
Important: work with the traditional shamanic supplies for ceremonies should be accompanied by dietary adjustments. Traditional guidance suggests avoiding dairy products and wheat flour, as they are considered primary mucus-forming foods. Limiting gluten-containing grains and following a ketogenic-style diet is also recommended. In combination, these approaches are believed to enhance the cleansing effect of tribal medicinal plants and rainforest medicinal plants.
HEAVY MOODS
During periods of intensified low or heavy emotional states, the ceremony may be performed as often as needed to restore calm and inner balance. At the same time, it is essential not to place all expectations solely on sacred plant medicine for rituals. Traditional wisdom emphasizes accompanying the practice with self-reflection, awareness of emotional patterns and an honest search for the underlying causes of these states, integrating the use of spiritual goods into a broader process of personal growth.
