Palo Santo sticks, pack of 4
This pack contains 4 Palo Santo sticks made from naturally fallen Palo Santo wood, with no additives. Palo Santo means “holy wood” in Spanish, and the wood has been used for generations in spiritual practice, especially in cleansing and preparation rituals.
Palo Santo is traditionally used for smudging: to prepare a space, tools or people before a rapé ceremony, in the spiritual sense of clearing unwanted energy.
Traditional uses of Palo Santo
Burning a Palo Santo stick releases a rich, woody aroma. Traditionally the smoke is used to reset a room and set a calm tone. Palo Santo is also lit in everyday situations, for example:
- Before an event, lesson, lecture or meeting with guests
- On arriving in a new place, such as a hotel or apartment
- Before meditation or ritual work
- Before a rapé ceremony
How to use Palo Santo sticks
Light the tip of the stick, let it burn for a short moment, then gently blow out the flame so that the smoke keeps rising. Move the smoke slowly around the space or object. Place the stick on a heatproof dish and make sure it is fully out when you finish.
Wood only, no added fragrance
The sticks are plain Palo Santo wood, and the resin is part of the wood itself. The scent comes from the wood, not from added fragrance, which many people prefer to synthetic scents. The sticks suit both beginners and experienced users.
